When Charleston resident Debbie Kinder saw how many people were struggling to find or afford ostomy supplies, she decided to do something about it.
What started as one woman collecting extra pouches has grown into Kinder’s Closet Ostomy Pantry, a volunteer-run network helping people across the country get the supplies they need — one box, one pouch, one act of kindness at a time.
Kinder’s Closet began as a small act of care. When founder Debbie Kinder noticed how many people were struggling to afford ostomy products or facing long waits for insurance coverage, she decided to help — one person at a time.
What started as a few shared supplies quickly grew into a volunteer-run pantry that now serves individuals and families across the U.S. Through community donations, word of mouth, and generous supporters, Kinder’s Closet continues to grow while keeping the same heart-centered purpose it began with: helping people with dignity and compassion.
We collect and redistribute donated ostomy supplies to anyone in need — no questions asked, no judgment attached.
Our small team of volunteers carefully organizes, packs, and ships supplies to ensure each package reaches the right person safely.
